The numbers are starting to add up for Millington Community Schools.
Unless something major happens this month, the district looks to put a sizeable amount into its savings account on June 30, the end of Millington’s 2020-21 fiscal year.
A year ago, the district’s budget projected Millington would finish the year with a $321,067 deficit. Instead, Millington looks to finish $366,000 in the black. Adding that to the savings account will leave the school district with $2.9 million in the bank, or about 23.9 percent of Millington’s annual budget.
