Some of the graduates of the class of 2022 may find themselves employed as solar-panel installers, flight attendants or as fitness workers – jobs expected to be in high demand in the next eight years, and don’t require a bachelor’s degree or associate degree.

The number of job openings for solar photovoltaic installers is expected to rise by 52.1% by 2030, and the job’s current median income is $46,470, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Jobs for flight attendants are expected to increase by 30.4% by 2030, and that job pays a median salary of $59,050.

Openings for recreation/fitness workers are projected to grow by 27%, and the median income today is $31,250.

Other high-growth occupations requiring only a high school diploma include restaurant cook, expected to see a 48.9% growth in numbers by 2030; home health aide, projected to offer 32.6% more jobs by then; bartender (32.5% increase); and taxi driver (25.5% increase).

Entry to some of these fields requires on-the-job training, apprenticeships and state licensure.
