VASSAR   — Members of Woman’s Life Chapter 857 invited residents of surrounding communities to join them on June 8 for an evening of food and fun.

“We wanted to let everyone know how fun it is to not only give back to your community, but to make friends along the way,” chapter member Sandy Gaudreau stated.

The chapter’s Spring Tea Party was put on by members Gaudreau, and Patsy Schell, to inform area residents what Woman’s Life is at an event allowing guests to communicate with chapter members and other area residents.

Not only was there information offered and food served, but guests had the chance to win themed prizes given away during a raffle.

Woman’s Life is an organization working to serve its community, and its mission is to give back. Vassar Chapter 857 has raised and given away more than $60,000 to the surrounding communities. Group members stress that they donate not only money, but time and goods, to ensure they’re helping the area to the best of their abilities.

Meetings for Woman’s Life occur once a month at Vassar’s Bullard Sanford Memorial Library. Chapter members noted the group allows for not only community service to give back, but also offers a way to socialize and enjoy one’s time with a great group of people.
