Bay City whets fireworks fans’ appetites with 10-minute shows Thursday and Friday nights, but Cass City and Frankenmuth offer a main course Saturday evening.

So does Bay City, with its longer, iconic “grand finale show” set for Saturday above the Saginaw River in downtown Bay City. Veterans Memorial Park on the river’s east side, and Wenonah Park on the river’s west side, will be open for fireworks viewing at 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Cass City’s Freedom Festival has set its fireworks show at dusk Saturday night as well, at Cass City Recreation Park off Scotty McCullough Drive, north of M-81 in town.

Likewise, Frankenmuth hosts a fireworks show set for 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park, 601 Weiss St.

Port Sanilac along Lake Huron plans a 2 p.m. parade Saturday, followed by fireworks that night launched from the breakwater.

Caseville along Saginaw Bay hosts fireworks Saturday night as well, at the Caseville County Park beach along M-25.

Wesleyan Woods Camp, 4320 Caine Road in Vassar Township, plans fireworks between 9 and 10:15 p.m. Friday. Visitors pay $3 per person to enter the camp for the day.

Port Austin reserves its fireworks show for dusk on Sunday, July 4 at the breakwater leading into Saginaw Bay from the end of Spring Street. The village hosts a July Fourth parade at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Saginaw, as well, has set its fireworks show for Sunday night on Ojibway Island in the Saginaw River.
