‘It was nothing, until it was something’ Tornado destroys homes in northern Huron County

Photo by John Schneider | The Advertiser The foundation and basement are all that is left of a home that once rested in the 300 block of Grindstone Road in Huron County’s Port Austin Township. A neighbor said the house was “removed” by Saturday’s tornado and the homeowner’s RV was flung on top of the wreckage where it caught fire. Multiple people who lived in the house were injured, the neighbor said.
