Donna J. Riley of Houghton Lake, formerly of Mayville, age 86, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born May 28, 1933 in Saginaw to the late Henry and Ella (Gantz) Gould. Donna married Richard Riley on May 28, 1954, in Bay City. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2016. Donna was a member of Juniata Baptist Church and the Sunshine Group for many years. She was a cook at Mayville High School for more than 10 years. Donna enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, reading and walking.
She is survived by six children: Robert (Sharon) Riley of Otisville, Susan Stilson of Houghton Lake, Michael (Cindy) Riley of Douglasville, Georgia, Laurel (Edwin) Pauley of Houghton Lake, Kay (Marvin) Gohs of Caro and Brian (Carol) Riley of Prudenville; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick Gould; one sister, Sally Blundo; dear friends, Jean and June Putman; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua; son-in-law, Jeffrey McLellan; and two brothers: Terry Gould and Ronald Simkins.
The family received visitors from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, and 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Avram Funeral Home, Mayville.
A Funeral Service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Del Terpenning officiating. Burial will follow in Rich Township Cemetery.
