Gregory “Greg” V. Smith of Caro, age 47, passed away with family by his side Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. He was born March 9, 1971 in Pontiac, the son of David and Eileen (Green) Smith. Greg graduated from Kingston High School with the Class of 1989. He owned and operated Greg Smith Motors. Greg was a member of the NRA. He loved sharing good times with family and friends, hunting, fishing, volleyball and motorcycling.
Greg is survived by four children: Brittany Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, Madison Campbell of Bay City, McKenzie Smith of Caro and Tanner Smith of Caro; father, David Smith of Mayville; one sister, Stacy (Nathan) Phillips of Mayville; niece, Allie Phillips, nephew, Nicholas Phillips and great-niece Meiah Lopez all of Mayville; and special canine companion Willy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Smith in 2014.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Mayville United Methodist Church, 601 Ohmer Rd., Mayville, with Pastor Michele Hile officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
