Erica L. Bartz of Kingston, formerly of Caro, age 27, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, September 23, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born March 2, 1991 in Warren to Daryl Scott and Sandra Rena (Potter) Bartz.
Erica attended Kingston High School. She was proud to be a stay at home mom and treasured every moment with her son, Evan. Together they played outdoors, went for bike rides, four-wheeler rides and worked on crafts. Erica was recently hired by UPS of Cass City. A skilled photographer, she enjoyed taking and editing photos. She and her fiancé, Derek were long-time sweethearts.
Erica is survived by her son, Evan Traster; her fiancé, Derek Traster of Caro; her parents; Sandra and Daryl Bartz of Kingston; brothers: Jesse (Tina) Bartz of Lincoln; Jeffery (Nicki) Bartz of Mikado; Scott (Titian) Bartz of Kingston; sisters: Shannon (Justin) Dooley of Cass City; Jennifer (Richard) Martin of Vassar; ten nephews; four nieces; and the Traster family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Herb (Jean) Bartz; William (Ada) Potter; her special, “Granny Dot”.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Pallbearers for Erica will be her brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
