Alice Traster-Festian of Caro, age 78, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Long Term Care Unit of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette. Alice was born December 13, 1939 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Merald L. and Lillian May (Knight) Crittenden, and was a 1959 Caro High School graduate where she was class treasurer/secretary. Alice was united in marriage with Carl Traster on March 14, 1959 in Caro, and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1998. Alice married Paul Festian on February 18, 2006, and he preceded her on March 3, 2014. Alice was a homemaker and Avon representative, and a member of the Caro First Baptist Church, and a devoted member of AWANA.
She is survived by three children and their spouses: Ruth and Larry Simonye of Davison, Steven and Christina Traster of Deford, Lori and Matt Price of Kingston; ten grandchildren: Shiann, Kristin, Derek, Darian (Ethan), Chelsey, Destiny, Jesse, Axel, Derek and Dalton; four great-grandchildren: Dayton, Evan, Weston and Gracie; sister, Wilma and Charles Roose of Caro. In addition to her parents and husbands, Alice was preceded in death by one son, Karl Traster; and her great-grandson’s mother, Erica.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Marc Herron officiating. Burial will follow at East Dayton Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro First Baptist Church for the Lake Ann Camp Fund.
