Tuscola County prosecutors charged a 25-year-old Vassar man with two felonies after Michigan State Police said they saw multiple pieces of stolen property inside a home when questioning him there Sunday.
Joshua Puchalla was arraigned Monday on felony charges of breaking and entering, and receiving and concealing stolen property valued from $1,000 to $20,000. Tuscola County Magistrate Joseph A. Van Auken set a $5,000 bond for Puchalla, who remained in the Tuscola County Jail on Tuesday afternoon awaiting a March 13 hearing on the evidence in Tuscola County District Court.
State police troopers arrested Puchalla on Sunday after interviewing him at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road in Vassar Township, according to a press release from the Caro post. Troopers stated they were questioning Puchalla regarding a break-in that took place on or about Feb. 16 at another home on Kirk Road in Vassar Township, northeast of the city of Vassar.
State police ask anyone with information about the investigation to contact them at the Caro post at 989-673-2156.
