Sharon Lee Avery of Caro, age 73, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida. Sharon was born November 21, 1943 in Midland, the daughter of the late Herman and Beatrice Roy. She was united in marriage with Lee Avery, and together they have spent 49 years together. Sharon worked for Walbro for 28 years and had been a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida during the winter months, flower gardening, crafts, and taking care of her pets.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Lee; five children and their spouses, Jimmy Stevens, Sheryl Stevens, Larry and Melissa Avery, Rick and Minnie Avery and Rob Avery; four grandchildren; four siblings and their spouses, Dale and Sandy Roy, Sheila and Trent Johnson, Sandra Roy, and Susie and Jeff Leak. Sharon was preceded in death by four siblings, Grant, Charlene, Douglas and David Roy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy my wish to consider memorial contributions to the Sharon Avery Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Lawrence Avery, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
