Elenor J. Spiekerman, 91, of Reese, died early Monday morning, August 18, 2014 at Agape Adult Foster Care Home in Caro. She was born November 4, 1922 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Helmuth and Mary (Yurgens) Klein. On August 3, 1946 she was married to Norman B. Spiekerman in Saginaw. He predeceased her November 3, 2008. Mrs. Spiekerman was a homemaker most of her life and was a faithful member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese, its Ladies Aid Guild and the Tuscola County Ladies Extension. She enjoyed crocheting and especially loved gardening. Surviving is her son, Rick Spiekerman and his wife Kristin of Moscow, Ohio; and her daughter, Nancy C. Dwyer of Caro; three grandchildren, Glen and Julia Spiekerman, Scott Dwyer and her sister, Blanche Ott of Saginaw and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Elenor was predeceased by her son-in-law, Maurice Dwyer, March 31, 2008 and one brother, LeRoy Klein. Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. Rev. Tom Senge will officiate with burial to follow in the Gilford Township Cemetery. Mrs. Spiekerman’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
