CARO — The Caro Rotary Club, Caro Chamber of Commerce and Tuscola County Economic Development Corporation are joining forces to present a leadership training opportunity for Tuscola County businesses.
A teamwork and leadership seminar called “Building Powerful Teams” will feature speaker Justin Maust. The seminar will be held at the Colwood Church, 1840 Colwood Road in Caro, from 8 a.m. to noon on January 16, 2014.
Maust, a Pigeon native and Laker High School grad, founded Leader Legacy with a passion to develop leaders, inspire teams and build powerful world-changing legacies.
An information packet about Maust’s presentations includes numerous examples of feedback, including a comment from Kingston Community Schools superintendent Matt Drake.
“Hey Justin, just a little feedback for you,” Drake wrote. “The staff loved your presentation. I had a staff person tell me they have been in Kingston for 22 years and that was by far the best opening day they had ever had. It was one of the best I had seen as well! Thanks again, and I look forward to our next session.”
Consumers Energy is the primary or diamond sponsor for the event, with Raymond James and ThumbCellular serving as platinum and gold sponsors, respectively.
Tickets are $30 per person, and any proceeds from the event will be divided between the Rotary, Chamber and EDC to be used to fund community events and services.
